No, it is nice to see a man taking care of his appearance, besides a real man takes care of himself for himself. Gay or Straight. Makeup seems to be a newer trend for men so I am not sure how much you would see that in a beauty shop but perhaps in the more high end salons.

In L.A., it is not a big deal at all. We have so many types here, gays and transgenders, metrosexuals, actors getting into some kind of character. I enjoy getting my services at a salon--why should I begrudge a guy from enjoying himself too?

Let me tell you ladies, let no man tell you you need make up .....let your skin breaths and heal itself.. Quit allowing men to make you insecure....because that is what it is.......I love you all....but I will say that, although there are some beautiful plus size women, keep your self health, loose the unnecessary weight
Neither. I like just a small amount on women, not a painted lady or a pasty face naturalist. Moderation in everything! Same with tans, I dislike a deep dark tan, and the woman who never has seen the light of day.

No, makeup artists are not required to have a license. However, MAC doesn't take artists who are just starting. They expect you to come in with experience working in the field somewhere else first.

Hair and makeup for a local beauty pageant??
It's Miss Greek, at my college so it's not big, but i still want to win, and do well lol! I was wondering, what my make-up should look like because of the lights on stage, and should i have my hair down and curled on the ends and volumized, or in an up-do, My dress is a halter, but my hair is about 3-4in below shoulder length. I also have swim wear. and what should I wear for the interview part...which is on stage i think, or if it's not what should i wear?? lol thanks a lot!Hair and makeup for a local beauty pageant??

use a silver eyeshadow alot of eyeliner(cateye it)
fake lashes
Pink Lipstick
body glitter (just get some sparkles at the craftstore and run thru it outside but wear a showercap so they dont get in you hair its tuff getting them out)
put alot of glitter on your cheeks and eyes
i like the white diamond color. not the white solid one

and for a gown get one at like macys or something
um for the interview get a cute skirt and a polo
