2 Makeup/beauty questions!?

I have normal-thick eyebrows, but I've been wanting to get mine thinned so I was wondering if it's better to get waxed or threaded when you get eyebrows thinned.

Also, how would you do her eye makeup routine? (click the link below)

http://www.starpulse.com/pictures/2007/02/18/previews/Megan%20Fox-SGS-016400.jpg

And no, I don't wanna be Megan Fox, so calm down.2 Makeup/beauty questions!?
I have gotten my eyebrows waxed before but never threaded although I've heard of the technique and has seen it done once. But as I have worked in a salon and went to school for cosmetology I usually use a razor to arch my eyebrow. The pic to the link that you show, her make-up is gorgeous, semi-simple and easy to achieve. You would use a black eyeliner and you would apply it to the top of the eyelid as close to the bottom of it as possible and you would also apply eyeliner to the bottom. you would then take eyeshadow (a color that would compliment your skin tone) and apply it right above the eyeliner on the eyelid. You may also use some mascara on your eyelases to make them look longer. It's not alot of make-up and it will help you to achieve your look. GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN!!!

Does Ulta sell Essence of Beauty or Posh Makeup Brushes? If not, what do they sell?

Makeup / beauty tips for me. (pics inside)?

hey hey.. so i'm 17, almost 18, just graduated high school. incase you can't see perfectly in the pic: i'm white, lol and i had a red/natural auburn gold hair.

i love makeup %26amp; ';girly'; stuff.

i wanted to do something a little different because i usually do my make up similar all the time. just change up the colors a little.

i know this sounds fake but, i was looking into the ';scene/emo makeup'; thing. i dunno the black looks cool to me.

but one of my eye creases are overlapping (from birth dont kno why) so eye shadow doesnt show all the much.

um, if anyone has any ideas or tips it'd be great.

thanks so much

if you wanna do the emo style...you should have a smoky eyeshadow...

i think your eyes are great and fit well to use dark colors...if you said that your eye creases are overlapping just thickened your eyeliner when you apply it. it'll work!

and for your outer eyelid, use natural color like beige

and for the lip use nude lipstick dont use lipgloss.

try to avoid pink blush, use plum or brown.

for better result, use MAC Cosmetic product especially its eyeshadow 'carbon', its super black and matteMakeup / beauty tips for me. (pics inside)?
As a makeup artist, I recommend using a waterproof eyeshadow base first (Lancome's Aquatique) and Lancome's The New Black shadow has awesome sparkles, I love their waterproof liner as well in black or gray.

I enclosed some pictures. Make sure you place a tissue under your eye(on your cheek) to catch the fall out or you'll look lik eyou have a black eye!

Even pairing black and brown like the last picture.

GOOD LUCK!
Purple eyeshadow would look nice and maybe some eyeliner. Try making your make up look like ashley simpsons if you want it a little edgy.
Try this site, its perfect on you im sure

robyn,

the only thing i can tell you is to experiment
i think you are pretty hott
Robyn, Firstly I think you have a natural beauty and don't need much makeup but if you want to play it up as my girls did try this. Put a moisterizer under your eyes, and use a gray or dark silver eyeshadow applied with a eye brush the angled kind works best. Start at the bottom middle of your eyes and work your way out to the corners. Make sure you go slow and the line is thin. Then do the same with your top lid. Make sure its thin and close to your eye lashes. With a qtip blend in the shadow for that smudged look!

Makeup & beauty tips i need help with....?

I am 13 years old, small with wavy hair, and i look young because of my height, I have an oval shaped face and i am not sure what makeup suits me, i have pale skin and i do have a ivory foundation and blusher but it doesnt seem to make me look any different. If possiible can anyone give me some tips on how too look my age, but i dont want to look tarty, because i would keep this makeup on for school .Any tips would really help. Thankyoo- xMakeup %26amp; beauty tips i need help with....?
Frist of all ,Wash your face with a mild, creamy cleanser and rinse thouroulghy with warm water. Pat dry with a soft towel and then imediatly apply a light moisturiser all oveer to lock in moisture avoiding the sinseitive area around your eyes. You've naw created a soft anvas which'll help your make-up to glide on more ealiy :)

Apply foundaiton with a propar brush ( GOSH X-ceptional Wear in chestnyut, 拢7.99 %26lt;%26lt; Its really good :) )

Use Concealer Around shadowed areas around your face :) ( Miners combat Anti-Bactierial Cover Stick 拢2.49)

Dont us powder for your eyes .. use a cream formulation. That way powder particles and glittery dust wont end up falling on your cheeks and ruining your base!

:) Have Funn :) xxMakeup %26amp; beauty tips i need help with....?
lip gloss and a little blush. You don't need foundation. Anything more would be too much.
try using a light brown eye liner, just enough to define your eyes without being too noticeable. A light pink or white shimmery eyeshadow, just enough to add some sparkle... clear mascara is great for defining eyelashes without looking dramatic.

On your lips, I'd do a slightly tinted or clear gloss.

You really don't need to use foundation unless you have a lot of blemishes. A little powder to prevent shine should do it.
you don't need fondation or blush it's too much for a 13 year old.

you just need a simple mascara for top and bottom lashes, eyeliner (preferrably on top only), and chapstick/lipgloss.

and you will look stunning
okay, you're 13, you don't need foundation! Save that for when you're older.

All you need is some eyeliner: if you have big eyes, apply the liner to the bottom lid, on the inside of the lashes...this will slim your eye a little. If you have smaller eyes tho, and want them to look bigger, apply on the lower and upper lid on the outer rim this time, close to the lashes.

some pale lip gloss is the finishing touch. :)

have fun! :)

Hair and makeup and beauty and stuff?

hey guys i was just wondering what a haul was? as in to do with buying stuff... i live in australia and i have never heard of it before..

what are your fave hairstyles and want to know how to do or have tried and failed?

and . . . what's your favourite foundations, concealers, eyeshadows, eyelyner, bronzers %26amp; lippy??

just wondering cuz i want to know these things xd feel free to answerHair and makeup and beauty and stuff?
A haul is just..when you buy lots of stuff from a brand. Like a MAC haul, it's just when you go to MAC and buy a heap of their stuff. Search MAC haul on youtube and it'll make sense XD Though I think they're just kinda bragging unless they test all the products infront of you and tell you what they think of each item.

I don't really have favourite hair styles, I just curl it, straighten it or wave it.

My favourite foundation is from Pupa, from Kmart, they have a really light colour, lightest I've found so it's perfect for me. xD

My favourite concealer is from Estee Lauder, it's pretty light, and good coverage, nice and creamy.

My favourite eyeshadows are either MAC or the 88 pallettes from www.coastalscents.com

My favourite eyeliners are either the MAC blacktrack fluidline or the gel liners from www.coastalscents.com

I hate bronzers. Though I do contour my face with the 10 blush set from coastal scents. and I highlight with just a white eyeshadow from wherever. and I use the blush from the same 10 blush set from coastal scents.

I don't wear lipstick yet, it looks weird with my braces, I just use a lip balm.Hair and makeup and beauty and stuff?
A ';haul'; is slang for the makeup or beauty products you bring home after your visit to the local mall or online retailer. People use that term when they post pictures of those purchases. If you want to see customer reviews on products, visit makeupalley.com. You can list your skin type (oily, normal, combination, and dry), skin tone, hair and eye colors, and age. It's really handy when someone with similar age and physical characteristics posts a review on something you might like to buy. That way, you can guess as to whether the product will work on you too.
If you say you've been shopping and got a ';good haul'; it's like what you've bought... usually when you buy a lot of stuff, or maybe spend a long time... kinda like value for money, but more just you bought stuff!

I love doing french plaits in my hair, but it makes my arms ache! also curling my hair... but it just takes forever!!

Clinique foundation is like THE best.... and touche eclat YSL concealer... my fav eyeshadows are sparkly white, pink and beige by Dior and Jillian Dempsey for Avon Professional Eyeshadow in browns and beiges... GORGEOUS.

Eyeliner i love clinique and rimmel kohls with smudgers and liquid i love ruby and millie. Avon do a fantastic bronzer...

Fav lipgloss - Cargo and Dior!
I think it's a sale - like a every thing will go quickly (i.e., Fashion Haul)

In terms of Fashion hairstyles, that depends on your hair length. I like a lot of layers, so I'm digging hairstyles that are long at the back and the top has shorter layers with a wispy coming a long the front to the side just covering the one eye.

Fringe (Bangs are also really cute. Like a blunt cut. And NOT short bangs, they have to cover your eyes.

I'm M-A-C all the way in terms of my makeup. Right now, M-A-C did a collab with Hello Kitty. The colours are really cute. But anything by M-A-C and NARS is good too. They've got bright, pungent colour hues.
I buy from Nevia, max foctor. I prefer to go shopping in Paris Gallary~

if you did't buy any of these stuffs yet, go ask an expert to see what colors suits ur skin more. also your skin type.

and about hairstyles, just make the one that suits ur face and ur hair type. put highlights if u want or put some funky hair color dyes ^-^
girl buy some maybelline makeup its cheep and it works good for my eyes, lips, and face.

but never buy Avon it sucks.
i love m.a.c make up the liquid eye liner is great oh and the lip glosses
MAKEUP~

M.A.C is the best..Most makeup artists use M.A.C because of it's high pigment colors, blend-ability, and full-coverage makeup. M.A.C also has the best make-up brushes!! (Definently worth the investment). However, I wouldn't use M.A.C foundation for your 'everyday makeup' because it's very heavy, only use it on special occasions..

For 'everyday face makeup' use a mineral makeup

I love Sephora (or Ulta) ~ go in and play around with all the products

~Benefit has great bronzer (it's called Hoola), blush (Dallas) and mascaras

~Urban Decay has great eye shadows

~Nars is amazing

~Bare Minerals is good for everyday face makeup, because it's all-natural and actually good for your skin

~M.a.c is the best for eyeshadow, eyeliner, lip liner, bronzer and powder... their lip gloss looks great but it feels VERY sticky... Moisture-blend is a great foundation if you have a special event or photoshoot

F.Y.I - M.a.c. is doing a 'recycling program' %26amp; if you bring in 6 empty m.a.c product containers you get a free lip gloss/ lip stick or eye shadow of your choice! ;o)

~Maybelline has good shimmery eye products that I use under my eyebrow to highlight my brow bone)

I also use Maybelline ';great lash'; mascara in black (It's the pink one with the green cap)

I sometimes mix 2 shades of Maybelline 'Mineral Power' Liquid foundation and use it for all-over face coverage (don't forget your neck)

~Victoria's Secret has lovely lip gloss- they smell yummy and have a great texture

Rimmel has good waterproof eyeliner (which is good for summer) and they have good %26amp; cheap brow pencil

Important side notes:

Make sure to remove all make-up before bed, you should use a 3 step skin care routine (1 face wash, 2 toner, 3 moisturizer)

Gently remove mascara w/ cold cream and cotton balls

Wear an SPF on your face and neck everyday

Wash your makeup brushes regularly with soap and warm water and let them lay flat to dry

HAIR~

I always put leave-in conditioner in my hair as soon as a get out of the shower because I have very long hair and conditioner keeps it healthy and silky.

My hair is straight so I like to use a curling iron and curl just the bottom 4 inches to give it a romantic wavy feel

Side-bangs are nice

Play around with a bunch of products and never be afraid to try something new...have fun! =)

Empire Beauty School-Makeup Artist In Training?

ok so i wanna go to empire beauty school to learn how to do makeup. but i was curious..in the book it says $800 for the supplies and textbooks.. now.what kind of supplies do they want us to buy? is it mac products? does anyone know what the supplies really is? thanks.Empire Beauty School-Makeup Artist In Training?
I'm pretty sure, They give you your kit. You don't need to go out and buy it. The Textbook and Supplies is part of the tuition.

Empire School..If it's the one out of PA...I'd check out other schools...Heard ALOT of stuff about them, that isn't so good(Know a few people who worked for them.).Empire Beauty School-Makeup Artist In Training?
They're not likely going to tell you that you have to go out and buy MAC but they might tell you what kind of brushes to get (powder brush, blush brush, angled contour brush, etc), possibly foundation palettes, blush palettes, eyeshadow palettes, and things like that. You probably could get MAC if you wanted to, but the school won't require you to buy that brand. Good luck!

Why is makeup allowed in beauty pageants?

Anyone can look good with makeup :)Why is makeup allowed in beauty pageants?
I agree with you, that would be the true test of beauty! Why is makeup allowed in beauty pageants?
this is a bit of a silly question, come on, why is make up necessary for models? actors? business women? imagine 2 business women, same intelligence, personality, skills, experience. one does her hair and make up, nice suit, shoes and looms healthy, the other is overweight, messy hair, no make up, cheap suit and bad teeth. the better looking one will be hired because people will be more consideate of her. thats just how our minds work, no matter how we try to stop them. and besides, beauty pageants sign deals with make up companies just like modelling agencies and movies and stuff.
I agree, it be nice to see a beauty pagent with minimal makeup so you can actually see naturally beautiful people instead of mindless sexed up whores that cant even think for themselves.
make up isnt wrong, however if you believe you are just as beautiful without it then dont wear it, its just like decoration, like wearing jewelry
That's a great question, to win a beauty pageant you should have natural beauty!
thats true ... but the prettier u are the prettier u can get with makeup
good question! However you could ask the same about clothes?.

perfume, but just a hint will do it.What is your favorite beauty product? Purfume, Makeup, and skin products?
my Define-A-Lash Mascara by Maybeline. It's my favorite thing ever! A necessity no doubt!
    1. My favorite mascara is covergirl lash exact. When I use an eyelash curler and then that it really makes my lash long and dark.

2.Matte Mousse Foundation- I apply it with my fingers on my cheeks, chin, and a little on my nose. After rubbing it in I even it out with a foundation brush. It looks really natural.

    3. I love that one lotion from Vaseline that gradually gives you a tan. It leaves an odd smell after you apply it for the first few hours but it eventually goes away.

    4. I absolutely love, love, love Garnier Fructics hair products. The hairspray I use is the full control hairspray in Ultra Strong. I have fine, straight, blonde hair, but I have a lot of it so it get's really frizzy. For my frizz I use the hairspray mentioned above after I use my Sleek and Shine Anti-Humidity Smoothing Milk. I put the smoothing cream on when I get out of the shower and then again when it's dry. The hairspray is just to get the tiny little flyaways on the top of my head. Works great!

    5. Neutrogena Hand Cream- It works so good. You only need a little dab and it's super mosturizing. I used it on my face, hands, and legs.
i love Jadore by dior perfume! it smells soo goood, classy and with hints of florals!

for your hair ask your hairstylist cut your hair in a way that suit your face. for example, i have a square face so the stylist cut my hair in layers because she said it looks good with my head shape.

try putting on black eyeliner to hide the puffiness. Eyeliner makes the eye color pop so people could see your blue eyes.

well, most of the time i take a shower at night but when i am lazy i take it in the morning...

i usually get up, pick my clothes for the day.

go to the restroom , put my hair up,brush my teeth, wash my face with soap%26amp; hot and cold water.

pat my face with a towel until dry(do not rub)

put on face lotion(i do not use foundation b/c i don't need it)

iron my clothes(if needed it) , put on my clothes

put on eyeshow, (color depends on color of clothes)

    mascara, curl eyelashes

put on little of powder on cheeks. lip gloss

and last but not least curl my hair if i want.

well, sometimes i do my hair b/4 i do my makeup it all depends if i am running late.

i hope you enjoy my routine.
i take showers the day before so i dont have to straighten my hair because its naturally straight but when i sleep with it wet it gets all frizzy and weird !

    lol

    so first i:

    get up

i have to brush my hair first

wash my face with 2 different washes[exfoliating and power wash]

i use my neutrogena acne stuff

i use the clean and clear moisturizer too ! small world . . jk lol

i put on lotion on my legs and arms

put my hair up to do my makeup[concealer/foundation, powder, blush then i do my eyes: eyeshadow;one color, eyeliner, mascara]

    tresemme frizz free spray

then i put my hair however. most of the time ikeep it down natural but sometimes i straighten it
    water on face

    apply face scrub

1 part vinegar mixed with 3 parts carbonated water.

Soak your hair in this mixture for 15 minutes before shampooing and conditioning. This heightens the effectiveness of the conditioner making your locks softer and shinier.Do you know any weird, yet effective hair, makeup and/or beauty tips?

smokey eyes, you have lush eyes, so embrace that.

if you youtube 'smokey eyes tutorial' you find loads of ways to do that. use lots of mascara, and pluck the brows.

you have a really nice skin tone, so dont bother with foundation, just a hint of bronzer would do.

with the lips use light pinks not dark colours. hint of pink gloss would be perfect.

    xAny makeup/beauty advice please? *pics*?
Aww .....girl u are so beautiful!

All you need is some concealer to cover any blemishes and under eye circles ( choose a shade similar to your skin, maybe one shade lighter) and a light pink lipgloss..

Don't wear dark eyeliner, it will make you look older. You can try a nude colour it will make your eyes pop.
Ugh! I would die to do your makeup (im an inspiring makeup artist) I would say wear heavy black eyeliner. Purples would make your eyes pop too, I did this look on one of my friends the other day, you should try it:

    http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_esUXxm_xoHU/SdAMnrENTWI/AAAAAAAAD_Q/QELMecex0pA/s320/arabic+make+up.JPG
Oh gosh, you don't need any make-up, you have flawless skin, and your eyes are pretty. I would suggest any makeup. you have natural beauty.
    Hmm...

Light amount of foundation (you already have nice skin! -.- lucky lols)

    Brown or black eyeliner

    1-2 Coats of mascara

    Lip gloss

    Done!

    Hope I helped :)

    xo
go on youtube and look type in ';makeup tutorials'; there are a BUNCH of different looks that you can try. Plus they show you how to do it and what products you need! Good luck. btw you're really pretty!
    aww you look so CUTE!

you look 10, but im pretty sure your like 14 - with like the straight teeth and everythingg.

so - try concealer for the dark circles under your eyes

    darkbrown/black eyeliner

    lipgloss.
No makeup or improvements needed. Your very pretty, that's all I can say and that's the truth.
OH MY GOD YOU LOOK LIKE THE HINDI VERSION OF THE EXCORSIST. WHERE DID YOUR PARENTS GO WRONG!?

in my opinion its pumpkin spice from bath and body works. but its discontinued. so i love the olive, grapseed, and passion fruit ones from the body shop

pricerier, lancome for mascara, dior for lips, mac for eyeshadows, prestige for eyeliner, and mac for cover up

    8. Silliest makeup trend and best makeup trend?

    silliest? red eyeshdaow... ew.

    best? fake eyelashes
    1. Foundation, mascara, lip balm, moisturizer, and lipgloss.

    2. Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer in Watermelon. It turned a strange, fushia purple colour on my lips...I looked like I was from the 80's! But I love their original lip balm.

    3. I love my Burberry London lotion. Also...strangely enough, I love the smell of Dove's lotions. :)

    4. Black eyeliner, all around my eyes. Biiiig mistake. Also, choosing the wrong shade of foundation!

    5. Lancome eyeshadows (they're nice, but expensive).

    6. I always have lip balm with me, either Softlips or Burt's Bees. In my makeup bag, I have mascara, eyeshadow, foundation, makeup sponges, sometimes eyeliner, lipgloss and blush.

    7. That's a tough one...I love Rimmel's eyeshadows, eyeliners, and lipgloss, but I don't like their foundation. I love MAC foundation, but I have never tried their other products. Most other brands are hit and miss, for me.

    8. Silliest: the ';raccoon eye'; look. It does not look appealing on ANYONE!

Best: I love the ';doll'; look. Foundation to even skin, long, defined, and curled lashes, neutral eyeshadow, blush, and pink lip gloss. Definetly a favourite :)

    Makeup/beauty advice

What are some beauty/makeup tips that you have learned or found out about that work well.

I want heapsss of answers :)Makeup/beauty advice
-invest in good brushes, fingers have soo much bacteria.

-use lip balm under lipgloss/stick because it makes it last longer.

-dont keep make up too long, like you should only keep mascara 3

    months, then toss it.

-always do your make up in good lighting, or you may miss spots or make the color uneven.

-make sure your neck and chest match the color of your face, if your clothing go that low.

-use a good primer on your face to make sure foundation, eye liner/shadow doesnt sweat off.

-dont use to much bronzer definitely, thats the most annoying thing, use sparingly**

-use blush on the apples of your cheeks, but dont when sun burnt, dont need anything else making the burn look more red.

-always play with your make up, who knows what wont %26amp; will look good on your face.

-sculpt your cheeks with bronzer if you have undefined cheeks.

-in the morning if you still look drowsy %26amp; tired use a good illuminator on your cheekbones %26amp; a little* under your eyebrows to give the awake look

-dont over pluck your eyebrows too, if you happen to though, you can use good eyebrow pencil to fill in gaps.

-when applying bronzer always stroke out from your face, never in, it makes it look more sun kissed and natural.

-dont use too much eyeliner, a little goes a long way.

-always use a foundation or moisturizer with atleast 15 spf even if you arent going to be in the sun.

    Makeup/beauty advice
if you have a sunburn put bronzer on the hollows of your cheecks (if you suck them in youll see them) forehead, and top of nose

gold eyeshadow is great for any complection and eye color, and blend it over your creases getting lighter as you go up

always simple and sexy, mascara, tiny bit of blush, smudgy eyeliner

2-step eyeliner: take eyeliner and line your upper lashes from the outside inner corner towards the middle, stop halfway, and then do the other half starting from the outside

classy look: black or brown liquid eyeliner winged out (thats hard to do though so practice before you wear it out) and red lipstick or liptint

Ive found the easiest way to take up non, waterproof makeup (excpt for mascara and sometimes eyeliner) is to rub moisturizer on your face, more than you would normally use because you want excess, then wipe the excess off with toner.

when plucking eyebrows, outline the shape you want in a white eyeliner, and then pluck everything outside those lines...prevents overplucking

if you want to look radient, find some moisterizer or power thats shimmery and use that....instant glow

use a sponge when you apply liquid foundation instead of fingers....stops bacteria transfer

gel or creme blushes blend better and give you a dewey look compared to power blushes which give you a porcelin doll effect

to make your eyes look deeper/bigger, apply a dot of dark brown eyeshadow in your inner crease, touching your eyelids

always concentrate eyeliner on outter corners of lids

invest in one of those makeup sticks that you can use as blush, lipstick, or eyeshadow

I love those things, and I suggest getting one in pink and light brown

thats all the tips I can think of right now

    hope these help
eyeliner tips: dint put eyeliner inside the lash line, it can cause infection and irritation from the chemicals..and as for brands, maybelline eyeliner works pretty good...and pencil eyeliner isn't kinda difficult to make a smooth, thin line so u can try the twistable kind it rolls on smoother.

eyeshadow tips: just use eye shadows that go good with your skin tone and eye color. best if u use a eyeshadow brush.

Mascara tips: the best brand that ive tried would be voluminous mascara, it works really good. and put on mascara after u put on eyeshadow.

  • What are good beauty tips for light makeup?

Do your makeup in NATURAL light. like the sunlight, or if you are going to spend most of your time under a certain kind of fluorescent or bright lighting, and that's the best you can get, then do it under that light. But always try to use as much natural sunlight as possible as no other kind of lighting will be as HONEST about how your make-up truly looks. It doesn't have to be bright sun, the overcast sky or cloudy lighting works just as well, if not better.

The most important thing, is that you apply your premier application of foundation in the sunlight, because this is the only way to ensure that you actually match the shade. You only have to do it once, to know that your foundation matches your skin... but you have to do it once for each new bottle, and for every time you get a tan.

Also, use a metallic-bristled eyelash comb- these are hard to find, but companies like tweezerman, for example, make such a brush... they will make your lashes look flawless, I even stopped using a curler because my eyelash comb does plenty of curling on its own. Also, if you want to have really natural looking eyelashes, try using Clinique mascara... it is more natural looking than anything you can find in the drugstores.

Most importantly--- NEVER use waterproof mascara!! You can always tell when a woman is wearing waterproof mascara because it leaves a powdery black ring under her eyes. -It looks awful, never, never, never use waterproof--- it's much better to have black tear stains on your cheeks than raccoon eyes. The black tears will at least win you sympathy.

Use a very light or white colored shiny/pearlescent lining above the upper lashes, right on the line, you can make it very light/faint but it will really make the eyes stand out w/out being obvious.

Skip blush and use the old pinched-pink method for the cheekbones (or skip the cheeks altogether and focus on the lips and eyes)

For your lips, the first thing people will say is gloss. But that is a big ';light makeup'; faux pas. Glossy, shiny, shimmery or otherwise sparkling lips will kill your ';light'; appearance immediately. The first thing anyone will notice is that you are wearing makeup if you have lip gloss on.

So, the best thing to do if you want to appear not made-up, is to apply a very light or natural shade of extra-long lasting lipstick, like the kind that you paint on and it doesn't come off for hours, even after eating (Lipfinity by max factor; covergirl has a kind which the name of escapes me... as does maybelline and revlon. I've tried 5 different brands, The body shop makes one that wears the worst, but smells absolutely incredible- Max Factor's Lipfinity is so far the best, and after that, revlon and covergirl basically fall into the same boat.)--Anyway, by doing this, you can define and bring attention to the lips, enhancing their beauty and if you pick the right shade, people will have to ask you if you are wearing any lipstick at all (unless of course you apply the shiny gloss layer that comes as an option with the main lipstick) -skip the gloss unless you are going to have your picture taken, or going to be kissing anyone. the gloss does cause the resiliency of the lip color to weaken and will make the lipstick obvious.

Use a medium color, just-barely-darker-than-skin shade of eye shadow on the creases of your eyes and under your cheekbones. Matte color--its very important that there be no shine to the areas you are trying to draw in by shadowing. the only shiny areas should be parts you want highlighted- your eyes, and/or cheekbones (though the cheeks will look far more made-up than the eyes, so keep a light hand when dealing with the cheek area)What are good beauty tips for light makeup?
Not sure what you are wanting exactly, but as far as eye shadow goes, when you want to add color, make sure you put it ONLY in the crease of the eye lid, dont go above or below the crease, use the very tip of the applicator to put a thin line of color on, it will look great and you wont look overly made upWhat are good beauty tips for light makeup?
If you want some visuals on natural light makeup they do that alot on the show What Not to Wear . Its a makeover show and towards the end of the show they do makeup and she does an excellent job.

It's on Fridays at 9pm on TLC
hi ya hun! try using a tinted moisturiser instead of a foundation. curl your eye lashes and use a little bit of mascara to set. then put on a slightly coloured lip loss and you're good to go! have fun :)
light foundation, orange eye shadow, light pink blush

AND THAT SHOULD DO THE TRICK!!
Traceless foundation by Prescriptives is very nude-looking.

Try a medium to sheer gloss, a bronzer, and a liquid or cream eyeshadow--fabu and fast for summer!
I use a sunblock then lightly powder my face with sheer powder by coty. Then i do my eyebrows with a powder also by este lauder then some lip paint that i buy by mabellene, the paint stuff that stays on all day, i dont have to worry about reapply at all for the rest of the day. I like simple also.
me personally i just like to use some foundation and powder and a little bit of a light gold of light peachy color eyeshadow. a little mascara and lip gloss to finish it off. u can also use any other light nude color eyeshadow.
put light colors tat match ur skin. dun put it too much, also put a very light foundation will do. try with gut brand for tat
natural tone makeup, a little mascara, blush and a lipstick will do.
dont where to much or you will get a greesy face and you will get holes too
natural minerals.Sheer Cover.you won't even need make-up it gives you the natural glow we all want.
always add lip gloss not dark lip stick
At least the tips I follow are these: To me is ALWAYS important to have your skin at its best, so I use a moisturizer from Clinique, SPF 15 with a little bit of tint, to even out my skin. Loose powder, for my skin NOT to look oily, (that's a must!), mascara to accentuate the eyes and, the finishing and most important step for me: LIP GLOSS! LOL... to make your lips the center of attraction in your face.

    Question....fast 10 points regarding makeup/beauty?

    hey I was wondering...

does anyone know any good facial cleaning products that you can recommend or have personally experienced? thats good for cleaning/clearing skin and pores? also, what brand of mascara and eyeliner would you recommend? St. Ives Apricot (Face Wash)

    Maybelline New York Mascara.

    Cover Girl Eyeliner.Question....fast 10 points regarding makeup/beauty?
i use proactiv. I love it. i noticed a difference the first time i used it. it's expensive (50 bucks for a two month supply) and takes 5 minutes in the morning and 5 at night, but i think that's worth it. as for eyeliner, i just started using loreal telescopic liquid eyeliner. I love it. Most liquid eyeliners flake off, but this one stays all day. Hope that helps!
You can try Mac Makeup Wipes, I think they're about $25 for 50. They work great!

If you're being budget concious try Dove Daily Wipes which are about $6 retail, maybe less at Wal*Mart. They do almost the exact same thing the Mac product does.

As for eyeliner, try Ben Nye's eyebrown pencil in Black, it's excellent and stays put all day. Mac also has a great variety of eyelining products, including an awesome gel/liquid liner called Fluidline you put on with a brush. It requires a little more skilled hand but looks beautiful on!

Mascara, I don't believe that there is one great one, although I still like Featherlash. The trick is to pick one you like, it can be cheap, and toss it after a month. Buy a new mascara every month and they'll all look great since they don't have a chance to dry out!
clinique has a good gentle cleanser that doesnt strip your sking but still leaves that good clean feeling. if you're on the go, try pond's cleansing wipes. i swear they are the best! especially when i don't feel like washing my face when i'm about to go ot bed. you don't even have to rinse your face off; it leaves no residue. i suggest those.

for the line/mascara i suggest mac fluidline liner; it's easier to apply than the pencil or liquid liner because you apply it with a brush. it also doesn't fall under your eyeys and give you th eraccoon look. try sephora brand mascara, it's just enough to separate and darken your lashes without making it look like you have too much on/ wearing false eyelashes.
I know this is gonna sound wierd but water mixed with sugar is good for the pores. mix a half cup of sugar with a cup and a half of water and apply to the face. keep on for10-20 min. and rinse. I want 10 points! :)
That's my skin color, yay I can help, tehe

Diandra has the best eyeliner that glides right on with ease so you don't mess up. As for mascara at drugstores you can buy this cheap Mary Kate and Ashley brand with creme eyeshadow on the other end, the mascara is great, the eyeshadow creme isn't, I wouldn't recommend touching that end. For cleaning and clearing I use Neutrogena acne wash, even though I don't have acne, it prevents it and keeps it smooth, also I follow up by keeping my skin hydrated and rejuvenated with Sistina alpha-beta revitalizing creme. It improves the feeling of your skin and brings out it's natural radiance. Hope I helped.
I use proactive for acne, I don't know if that is what you meant by 'clearing' but it works and it's worth it. I use cover girl mascara, I try others but always go back, however if I could afford it, Lancome makes the best mascara, I don't know about eyeliner
I use CG mascara, eye liner and lip gloss, they work great. For the face i use Ponds's products because i have such dry skin. But i heard that neutrogena products are great (not for me),Biore is good too, there are too many products out there to say=]Hope you find something!
Micro-Dermabrasion KIT FROM LOREAL u dont believe the result.

i love bourjois brand for every product.sure u will be.

    good luck.
biore for skin and lash exact mascara works great
Well, the Clean %26amp; Clear face wash and moisturiser have, together, given me skin that's fairly good. I believe, they clean the pores and give adequate lubrication.

As for mascara, I use Revlon with the 3-D effect. It has 2 steps, so if I'm running out of time I use the Loreal Voluminous mascara. They're both equally good, the latter being darker as well. However, I try to reserve the Loreal one for the nights.

I'm not a big fan of eyeliners, but I do use the Loreal waterproof eyeliner if I want to look dramatic. My eyes are naturally dark and expressive, so I don't really need much eye makeup.

Well, I'm 100% Asian with medium brown skin. Some people call it olive. Anyway, if your skin is tan, you could carry off almost any colour, especially bright ones and jewel tones. Dark eye makeup is sure to make you look that extra bit exotic.
i know a lot about different eyeliners. CLINQUE quickliner for eyes is a great thing to use. i've used a lot of different eyeliners and this one has worked the best. the artists at the counter can help you decide which color. it's between $15 to $20
I like clean and clear astringent for sensitive skin. I also like physicians formula mascara/eyliners because they dont irritate the eyes and come in a great charcoal color that I love. They also have a felt tip liquid liner that rocks.
i use st.Ive's apricot cleans and sea breeze to take off my make up
not much for mascara, usually just use cover girl in the pink bottle/green top. LOVE st. ives new ';sensitive skin'; formula of the apricot scrub. only need to use it 1-2 times a week depending on how much makeup you usually wear, but it cleans pores, scrubs away dull dead skin, and leaves your skin feeling like a peach after you rinse. take off the mascara first, though, it's too ';scrubby'; to use close to your lashes. (I use a little vaseline to remove mascara right before showering- the oily texture takes off the ';waterproof'; stuff well)
I use clinique dramatically different moisturizer and I also use their rinse off foaming cleanser......I love both of them and they really go a long way.....I haven't had to buy new products for almost a year......I also use mary kay's mascara and I use clinique black eyeshadow for my eyeliner........hope this helps.
ok for tha facial cleanser, i use some old school stuff, it's noxzema, it's in those blue jars...it works better than anything i've ever used, and it's inexspensive...mascara: i love that maybelline intense xxl lashes stuff, and eyeliner? i like anything from revlon.
best Facial creams is definitely BIORE

and Best mascara for eyes is MAYBELLINE great Lash
use mac eyeliner and mascara and use cold water it wakers up the pore and cleans them
The best cleanser I've ever used is also one of the cheapest. It's by Wet n Wild ( the brand that sells the 99 cent lip gloss and nail polish ) The cleanser is really great! It has green tea extracts, acne medicine, and exfoliating grains. It really works without drying out your skin. It doesn't burn your face like most cleansers. I love it! As for the eyeliner - black pencil eyeliner is always the best, and black mascara is sexy. Maybelline always makes the top of the list whenever fashion magazines do the best mascara articles. I use it when I wear makeup and it works great - also very inexpensive and lasts all day. Waterproof too... Good Luck!
    For oily/combo skin, I can recommend :

    Neutrogena Oil Free Cream Cleanser

Noxema cream cleanser (the one in the jar)

    Anything by Clean and Clear

    Dove Soap

For good skin care lines in general:

    Clarins

    Lancome

    Clinique

    Shiseido

What brand of mascara would I recommend?

L'oreal Panoramic, Double Extend, Lash Out, Voluminous, Telescopic

Maybelling Great Lash or Lash Discovery

Cover Girl Volume Exact or Lash Exact

    Lancome Hypnose, Extencils, or Definicils

    Dior Diorshow

    Clinique High Impact

    Good liners:

anything by Lancome or Estee Lauder

    MAC

    Urban Decay

I know because I am also Asian with a tan complexion!

    Good luck!

    =)
my girl friend is a beautician so I just asked her...she said to try murad or aveda for the skin cleansing products...as far as the eyeliner try artliner by lancome....and MAC has a great fiber mascara
I recommend Burt's Bees citrus facial cleanser. It is amazing. It's all natural, so it cleans your pores out really good, and also helps clear your face. I'm an organic freak I guess, so I like my make-up/facial products to be all natural. As for mascara, Dr. Haushka makes the best one I've ever used...organic or non-organic. And I've used everything..clinique, chanel, shiseido, mac, etc. I don't know about eyeliner...Dr. Haushka also has a really good liquid one, but I prefer the crayon, so yeah...

You can get all these products at your local healthfood store. Wild Oats, Natural Foods, etc.

It's actually up to the woman herself. Nobody can force any body but the self. Beauty is both in and out. ';In'; beauty radiates outside. How much must woman take be b4 she the makeup/hair advertisements damage her true beauty? What can we do world
Well of course we should all strive to be beautiful on the inside first, but if looking nice on the outside makes you feel more happy, then that's OK too. You should take care of your body for yourself, not anyone else.

I don't believe that skincare products damage the tissue, take sunscreen for example, it protects it.
Sunscreen does not protect skin, is causes skin cancer, read about all the chemicals in our cosmetics, stay away from products containing sodium lauryl sulfate.

Some of the product pages on Sephora.com will give you ';looks'; and application instructions. The way I learned to do make-up was to go to a large department store like Macy's and have the girl's at a make-up counter give you advice on colors and application. Pick a line of cosmetics that look appealing to you and ask the girls for help. They will show you all kinds of things and you might even get some free sample sizes. The people at Sephora are always happy to try new products with me.Good webites with how to do...hair,makeup. beauty things?

Does Earth's Beauty makeup work well?

I have been looking for natural eye makeup and am wondering if this would be a smart buy.Does Earth's Beauty makeup work well?
i love it! the eye shaddows are amazing, im wearing midnight blue right now. i like the fact that they are natural and dont test products on animals. i found a really good tip on their website once and its to make the eye shaddow powders stay on longer, first apply the foundation powder to the lid area, and then apply the eye shadow. also their brush collection is brilliant, its the best ive ever used by far.

    hope this helps

    Makeup, beauty products, hair ect...?

So i have found alot of beauty products that i love and work soo well. Now i want to know what other stuff other people like too. Tell me everything that you love.

p.s. what have you tried that looks good with these colors: light brown goldenish eyes, light skin, dark brown hair with some golden highlights.Makeup, beauty products, hair ect...?
well im pretty sure that goldish and bronze colors work very well...how about blues and greens....i have played around with make up a lot and you should try too...its not about matching sometimes though...sometimes contrast does the trick.Makeup, beauty products, hair ect...?
I've noticed that greys really bring out brown eyes, and of course greens too, the light ones or even lime. I'm also going to try the new bad girl mascara blue new at sephora it's sopposed to really bring out your eyes any color. Or go light on makeup and dazzle with some red lipglass.
I like the brown/espresso mascara and eyeliner from Maybelline.
try a black eye liner pencil with peacock green eyeshadow .play up ur eyes. put a little lipgloss on ur lips.for a natural fresh look put a cream blush on.(no reds or pinks unless ur undertones are these colors.) try it and tell me how it works.

Beauty, Fashion, Makeup, and Photography college?

I really want to become a beautician, a makeup artist, a photographer, and do things with fashion and clothes when I am a little older. I am wondering if there is a college somewhere in the united states (specifically Oregon, Washington, and New York) that offers coureers that unclude all of these things: beautician, fashion, makeup and photography? Any help would be great, thanks,Beauty, Fashion, Makeup, and Photography college?
How old are you? You have one major and maybe one or two minors when you're in college. It depends where. Most good colleges only offer classes in photography and maybe fashion. Community colleges will sometimes have classes for cosmetology (thats what its called). There are some great fashion institutes in New York.

Fashion is a wierd industry..especially now. Just because you go to school for it doesn't mean your any good. I watched this one lady go through her finals week at one of the top institutes in New York and her clothes were hideous. Of course, she passed her class but it's kind of a hit or miss thing when it comes to actually selling your clothes. You have to be careful cuz people in higher places can really take advantage of you, especially fashion magazines. They're such lame hipsters. Like they'll say some designer-to-watch is sooo cool and they love his designs, but they forget to say he's a starving artist.

Depending how old you are you should just see where your life is heading. In the end you have to think about making money and eating and having a place to live.Beauty, Fashion, Makeup, and Photography college?
