What are good beauty tips for light makeup?

Do your makeup in NATURAL light. like the sunlight, or if you are going to spend most of your time under a certain kind of fluorescent or bright lighting, and that's the best you can get, then do it under that light. But always try to use as much natural sunlight as possible as no other kind of lighting will be as HONEST about how your make-up truly looks. It doesn't have to be bright sun, the overcast sky or cloudy lighting works just as well, if not better.

The most important thing, is that you apply your premier application of foundation in the sunlight, because this is the only way to ensure that you actually match the shade. You only have to do it once, to know that your foundation matches your skin... but you have to do it once for each new bottle, and for every time you get a tan.

Also, use a metallic-bristled eyelash comb- these are hard to find, but companies like tweezerman, for example, make such a brush... they will make your lashes look flawless, I even stopped using a curler because my eyelash comb does plenty of curling on its own. Also, if you want to have really natural looking eyelashes, try using Clinique mascara... it is more natural looking than anything you can find in the drugstores.

Most importantly--- NEVER use waterproof mascara!! You can always tell when a woman is wearing waterproof mascara because it leaves a powdery black ring under her eyes. -It looks awful, never, never, never use waterproof--- it's much better to have black tear stains on your cheeks than raccoon eyes. The black tears will at least win you sympathy.

Use a very light or white colored shiny/pearlescent lining above the upper lashes, right on the line, you can make it very light/faint but it will really make the eyes stand out w/out being obvious.

Skip blush and use the old pinched-pink method for the cheekbones (or skip the cheeks altogether and focus on the lips and eyes)

For your lips, the first thing people will say is gloss. But that is a big ';light makeup'; faux pas. Glossy, shiny, shimmery or otherwise sparkling lips will kill your ';light'; appearance immediately. The first thing anyone will notice is that you are wearing makeup if you have lip gloss on.

So, the best thing to do if you want to appear not made-up, is to apply a very light or natural shade of extra-long lasting lipstick, like the kind that you paint on and it doesn't come off for hours, even after eating (Lipfinity by max factor; covergirl has a kind which the name of escapes me... as does maybelline and revlon. I've tried 5 different brands, The body shop makes one that wears the worst, but smells absolutely incredible- Max Factor's Lipfinity is so far the best, and after that, revlon and covergirl basically fall into the same boat.)--Anyway, by doing this, you can define and bring attention to the lips, enhancing their beauty and if you pick the right shade, people will have to ask you if you are wearing any lipstick at all (unless of course you apply the shiny gloss layer that comes as an option with the main lipstick) -skip the gloss unless you are going to have your picture taken, or going to be kissing anyone. the gloss does cause the resiliency of the lip color to weaken and will make the lipstick obvious.

Use a medium color, just-barely-darker-than-skin shade of eye shadow on the creases of your eyes and under your cheekbones. Matte color--its very important that there be no shine to the areas you are trying to draw in by shadowing. the only shiny areas should be parts you want highlighted- your eyes, and/or cheekbones (though the cheeks will look far more made-up than the eyes, so keep a light hand when dealing with the cheek area)What are good beauty tips for light makeup?
Not sure what you are wanting exactly, but as far as eye shadow goes, when you want to add color, make sure you put it ONLY in the crease of the eye lid, dont go above or below the crease, use the very tip of the applicator to put a thin line of color on, it will look great and you wont look overly made upWhat are good beauty tips for light makeup?
If you want some visuals on natural light makeup they do that alot on the show What Not to Wear . Its a makeover show and towards the end of the show they do makeup and she does an excellent job.

It's on Fridays at 9pm on TLC
hi ya hun! try using a tinted moisturiser instead of a foundation. curl your eye lashes and use a little bit of mascara to set. then put on a slightly coloured lip loss and you're good to go! have fun :)
light foundation, orange eye shadow, light pink blush

AND THAT SHOULD DO THE TRICK!!
Traceless foundation by Prescriptives is very nude-looking.

Try a medium to sheer gloss, a bronzer, and a liquid or cream eyeshadow--fabu and fast for summer!
I use a sunblock then lightly powder my face with sheer powder by coty. Then i do my eyebrows with a powder also by este lauder then some lip paint that i buy by mabellene, the paint stuff that stays on all day, i dont have to worry about reapply at all for the rest of the day. I like simple also.
me personally i just like to use some foundation and powder and a little bit of a light gold of light peachy color eyeshadow. a little mascara and lip gloss to finish it off. u can also use any other light nude color eyeshadow.
put light colors tat match ur skin. dun put it too much, also put a very light foundation will do. try with gut brand for tat
natural tone makeup, a little mascara, blush and a lipstick will do.
dont where to much or you will get a greesy face and you will get holes too
natural minerals.Sheer Cover.you won't even need make-up it gives you the natural glow we all want.
always add lip gloss not dark lip stick
At least the tips I follow are these: To me is ALWAYS important to have your skin at its best, so I use a moisturizer from Clinique, SPF 15 with a little bit of tint, to even out my skin. Loose powder, for my skin NOT to look oily, (that's a must!), mascara to accentuate the eyes and, the finishing and most important step for me: LIP GLOSS! LOL... to make your lips the center of attraction in your face.
