Advice on good makeup and beauty products to buy?

ok so im going back to school shopping for all my makeup..and i need advice on where to buy and what to buy

so this is what i need:

-foundation...any good products for oily acne prone skin (i like powder more than liquid)

-mascara...i'm a mascara addict and i use mostly drugstore brands sine i have to replace it so often..so what is a great drugstore mascara brand that will work well without making my eyelashes come out or get dry and brittle?

-makeup brushes?...i need a lot, where can i buy good ones?

oh and i want to highlight my hair with very light blonde(right now its dark blonde) what is a really good home highlighting product?

and one more thing...sunless tanning lotion...not like a spray on product but a gradual tanning lotion...do those work..and if so which ones?Advice on good makeup and beauty products to buy?
Bare Minerals is well worth the money because mine has lasted me almost 8 months. And I use the same foundation when I'm doing stagework [ I'm a perfomer ] If you're doing sports or it's really hot, if you dab it a little bit will come off.. but it will not run or even come close to it like normal foundation will. If you go to their website [you can google but I think it's bareessentials.com] they have starter kits that are only around 25-35 bucks and it includes brushes, etc.

The only thing I will recommend is to replace the brushes every month. I have combination oily skin and found out the hard way that it will make your skin breakout if you don't clean the brushes and discard them accordingly. They also have mascara which works amazing. I have naturally long eyelashes, but their mascara makes them fuller and gives more dimension. I love it.

I don't know what to recommend hair-wise because I don't know your skin tone and whatnot, but I would go to a professional and ask them what they would recommend and then go from there.

Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizer. I believe that's what it's called. It moisturizes your skin and gradually gives your skin a natural sun kissed glow. I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for, but any sunless tanning lotion I've ever used has left me streaky and orange.. or yellow. But Jergens keeps my skin soft and a glow that's not pale, but not oompa loompa looking either.Advice on good makeup and beauty products to buy?
If you have oily and acne skin, you should use mineral based makeups since they are light, gentle on the skin, won't clog pores. Also, the minerals have anti-aging and sun protection properties that are good for the skin. Most skin care experts and dermatologists recommend to use mineral makeups.

Tanning Lotion: http://www.viewpoints.com/Dove-Energy-Gl鈥?/a>

Hope I Helped!
foundation: Revlon Colorstay foundation for combination/oily skin. it's not powder but trust me, it won't break you out or make you skin look oily. it's amazing.

mascara: Lashblast! works wonders.

sunless tanning: hmm i think the Loreal micromist thingy works pretty well. sorry i forgot what it's called exactly

and as for the hair, i'm not an expert on home products sorry

and brushes.. drugstores have cheaper brushes that can work as substitutes for MAC brushes, if that's waht you're looking for
Okay if ur ksin is acne prone I would definitely go with a bare minerals/mineral make up

the best--ultimate mascara is loreal telescopic---i will never use any other

there are good make up brushes are wal mart/sephora/target all for a reasonable price

there isnt a really good home highlighting product truthfully

and there are good sunless tanning lotions that are salon quality at sally stores if u have one nearby..if not..

hope i helped:)
Missaysa,

Suggest you checkout Coonobabe. I use this brand exclusively for my makeup needs. http://www.coonobabe.com Good, inexpensive, high quality, and they ship for free all orders.

For good skincare and lip plumpers I use Isabella Pelle. http://www.isabellapelle.com

So I hope this helps, and good luck in school.
I have mary kay subtle tanning lotion and its very good because it does not turn me orange. Also I would recomend mary kay maskara because its only like 14 dollars.
i would say, go to victoria's secret! they have almost EVERY beauty product and reasonable prices! or walmart. very reasonable prices for both
mascara, use lash stilleto by mabaline, it works great
Bare Minerals is a good powder foundation.

I have really oily skin too and I've tried liquids and powders for oily skin that never worked. Bare minerals works pretty good. It covers like a liquid but it's just a powder. So it's really good. It's a bit expensive, about $25. You can get it at Sephora. If you want a good powder brush to apply it try getting sephora's brand kabuki brush

As for mascara, I see mascara as one of those things you can cheap out on if needed because you don't need a lot of it. Try this one XXL lashes

A tip for avoiding dry brittle eyelashes is to put some of Alba's un-petroleum jelly on your lashes right before bed. It will keep they hydrated from the mascara and even helps them grow. The Alba brand jelly is good because it doesn't contain any of veggie or mineral oil that will clog your pores.

you should be able to get the Alba stuff at any drug store.

I don't know much about tanning lotions or hair highlighters because I'm fare skinned with black hair

Hope this helps you!
Powder Makeup: I am in loveee with Pur powder foundation. I have super sensitive oily skin and Pur cleared me right up. The voverage is great! They have this at Ulta. It's like $25 dollars but lasts months. Also the starter kit comes with a brush, blush, and bronzer.

Mascara: Covergirl lash blast. Crazy huge eyelashes with great separation. It's lasted me forever. The only problem is it's hard to get off. It even stays on in the pool. I recommend baby oil for removal.

Highlighting: PLEASE DO NOT HIGHLIGHT AT HOME!!! Oh it fries your hair like crazy! A great tip is to go to a school for hair, like Aveda Institute. They have the students do your hair under the watch of a teacher, so they do great. But their prices are half of what you'd pay at a great salon.

Sunless Tanning Lotion: Ocean Potion Lotion. Sold at wal-mart. A very natural looking tan that also helps to make your summer tan last longer. Best part? It smells like skittles.
you should wear liquid foudation it looks for natural, revlon colorstay is a very good foundation for oily skin. then put a loose powder over it. its always good not to buy cheap foundation so i would go to sephora.

lash blast and define a lash are great drug store mascara

wall greens has good brushes that are cheap but good quality

i always recommend people to go to the salon when dying your hair because youll get the results you want when you let a professional do your hair

jergens natural glow is a good for gradual tanning and you can choose your skin tone.
